Oh hey there friends! Matt Matney here with an update from LIP SYNC 2014. It's so hard to believe that the show is only a week away! Our team has been working like crazy to top ourselves and our work from last year. Believe it or not...it might actually happen!
As many of you might know, this is now my third year to host, and I have to say that the caliber of talent never fails to blow me away.My sister, truly one of the funniest people I know, has taken a bigger role as head writer for this year's show. So far, she's put together almost twenty different scripts with each one being more hilarious than the next. I can't wait to see where she takes her skills in the future!
Our club president Sara Karnes is at the top of her game this season, directing and coordinating like a pro. I'll never know how she does it all, but the show wouldn't be the same without her!
Then there's the ever amazing Kurtis Weaver, who has had a hand in nearly every video we've done so far. He is one of the most genuine and talented guys I've ever worked with and I can only sing his praises.
Of course, I'd be a terrible co-host if I didn't mention my dear friend and partner in crime through this process, Grace Donaldson. I don't say this often, folks, but she is one of the MOST talented actresses I have seen on this campus. The fact that she is only a freshman is equal parts shocking and encouraging. I know that LIP SYNCs to come will be in wonderful hands!Anywho, better get back to work for the show. We're in full rehearsal mode now and I truly can't wait for you all to see our work! Naturally, we brought back some of your favorite skits like Bobcat Update, but rest assured...there will also be surprises GALORE!
From the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to serve as your host for another year. I promise C of O...I won't let you down.
